Red River & Gulf Railroad

The Red River & Gulf Railroad was one of four railroads to operate in Long Leaf. It was the common carrier

that ran between Meridian, Long Leaf, Lecompte, and Kurthwood to handle freight and passengers.

The RR&G was shut down in 1953, but parts are being reconstructed today for guests to ride.

There is so much interesting information on the RR&G that we had to create a website dedicated to it.
